The Eco-Friendly Solution for Festivals

Music festivals and outdoor events are joyous occasions, but often the waste left behind is a bitter aftertaste that damages the legacy of the event – as well as the environment. We were thrilled to work with Ayuna festival, a boutique eco-friendly festival taking place in the heart of the Netherlands countryside, to provide our compostable cutlery for the earth positive event.

Cutlery made of Solinatra was used throughout the event, our plant-based knives forks and spoons complementing the plant-based menu. The festival served an inspiring array of dishes across the weekend, the inclusive design of the event meaning all 555 guests dining together at long set tables and sharing mealtimes.

Feedback from the chefs and the catering team was fantastic, the team were surprised by the strength and durability of the cutlery and even washed and reused the utensils to further reduce the environmental impact of the event.

Cutlery made of Solinatra is fully biodegradable and compostable, it is made of 100% natural ingredients and breaks down without leaving behind any microplastics or contaminants. Providing food waste bins, cutlery can be collected and composted along with any leftovers or waste. And if someone does accidentally drop a utensil or litter, the cutlery will break down naturally.

Celebrating the arts and spirituality, connections and connectivity, the Ayuna festival was a unique event bringing together more than 500 attendees of all ages for a weekend on a beautiful estate in the Netherlands countryside.

Do you hold festivals or cater public events? Ditch the plastic and switch to Solinatra! Cutlery made of Solinatra is the ideal choice for indoor and outdoor events, get in touch today to discover how your event can be more sustainable.
