Supporting Save the Children at the NYC Marathon

Earlier this month, a member of the Solinatra team took part in the New York City Marathon to raise money for Save the Children. Albert took part in the 50th anniversary of the world-famous marathon, joining 30,000 competitors to run through the city and raise incredible funds for charity in the process.

Completing the 42.195 km (26.219 mi) route in impressive time, Albert raised $1500 which has been match funded by Solinatra, to bring the total raised to US$3,000. Sponsored by Solinatra, Albert took part in his first marathon to raise funds for a charity close to his heart, speaking after the event Albert said:

“Over the past 18 months Save the Children have helped more than 50 million children around the world, the pandemic has added to existing humanitarian crises and their work is as vital as ever. Save the Children provides a lifeline to children and their families, and I am proud to be able to fundraise on their behalf. The marathon was a huge challenge, thanks to all for your support!”

For over 100 years, Save the Children has worked to improve the lives of children through better education, health care, and economic opportunities, as well as providing emergency aid in natural disasters, war, and other conflicts.

Congratulations to Albert on his fantastic achievement!
